8/21: The Magpie is back

Celebrate Alaskan agriculture this week by heading to the state fair, but first, make sure you come by the Anchorage Farmers Market for some of the finest veggies in the state. Our vendors have a little bit of everything, and you can even get breakfast at The Magpie! Enjoy the market season while it lasts and stock up on all your late season veggies now. Here is what our vendors have to offer this week:

Arctic Organics: Carrots, fennel, little gem lettuces, rutabaga, parsley, and celery, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, snow apple turnips, kohlrabi, radishes, Rainbow chard, collards, turnip greens, beet greens, greens mix, lettuce mix, butter, leaf and Romaine lettuces, arugula, Treviso and Chioggia radicchio, sorrel, cilantro, chives, and basil. 

Brown Dog Farm: Locally grown bouquets for $5, $10 and $20. Salad greens: Spring mix, arugula, spinach.

Ed & Tina’s Kraut & Pickling: Sauerkraut (10 flavors), pickled beets (3 flavors), pickled garlic.

Hatcher Pass Dahlias: THe blooms is busting out all over! Beautiful dahlia stems, bouquets, sweet pea blossoms, cucumbers, squash and tomatoes.

The Magpie: Foodtruck selling local, seasonal fare.

Mom’s Garden: Spinach, mustard greens, radishes, bok choi, herbs, carrots.

Nunaka Valley Honey: Local honey.

Seldovitsch Farm: Carrots, broccoli, cabbage, beets, cucumbers, spinach, basil, zucchini, lettuce, dill, kale, tomatoes, sweet peppers, hot peppers.

Shaggy Mane Shroomery: Locally grown mushrooms.

Stockwell Farm: Lettuce, Italian zucchini, kale, collards, strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, carrots, green onions, onions, cabbage, radishes, jams and jellies, pumpkins and winter squash.

Turkey Red Cafe: Breads: Ciabatta, baguettes, focaccia, rosemary, olive, sourdough, three seed, date walnut & rye. Scones: Orange chocolate & tea infused raisin. Croissants: Classic, chocolate, almond, chocolate almond. Cookies. Gluten free brownies, macaroons & amaretti.

Vang Family Farm: Mint, radish, bok choi, mustard greens, cilantro, basil, carrots.

Vanderweele Farm: Radish, kale, lettuce, broccoli, potatoes, cabbage, beets, strawberries, cauliflower.
