In search of the first Alaskan carrot of the summer? Come down to the Anchorage Farmers Market this Saturday. Here is what our vendors will have:
Arctic Organics: Basil, broccoli, Chinese (Nappa) cabbage, Rainbow chard, collards, baby mustard greens, little gem lettuces, baby lettuce mix, red and green Romaine, red and green butter lettuces, greens mix, rucola, kale, zucchini, snow apple turnips, kohlrabi, pac choi, radishes, garlic scapes, and rhubarb.
Brown Dog Farm: Mixed bouquets and single variety bunches of freshly harvested flowers, including stock, forget-me-nots, strawflowers, godetia, scabiosa, feverfew, ranunculus, bachelor buttons, penny cress and snap dragons! Spring mix, arugula, spinach.
Ed & Tina’s Kraut & Pickling: Sauerkraut (10 flavors), pickled beets (3 flavors), pickled garlic.
Mom’s Garden: Spinach, mustard greens, radishes, bok choi, herbs.
Seldovitsch Farm: Carrots, broccoli, cabbage, beets, cucumbers, spinach, basil, zucchini, lettuce, dill, kale
Shaggy Mane Shroomery: Locally grown mushrooms.
Stockwell Farm: Lettuce, Italian zucchini, kale, collards, strawberries, green tomatoes, rhubarb.
Turkey Red Cafe: Breads: Ciabatta, baguettes, focaccia, rosemary, olive, sourdough, three seed, date walnut & rye. Scones: Orange chocolate & tea infused raisin. Croissants: Classic, chocolate, almond, chocolate almond. Cookies. Gluten free brownies, macaroons & amaretti.
Vang Family Farm: Mint, radish, bok choi, mustard greens, cilantro, basil.
Vanderweele Farm: Radish, kale, lettuce, broccoli, potatoes.
Vang’s Fresh Foods: Thai tea, chicken wings, pork belly, sausage, hot dogs, sweet chicken, eggrolls, springrolls, sesame balls, and Nava ( sweet tapioca drink).
